Addiction services
Reflections specialises in helping people with an addiction.
If you or a loved one is dealing with a drug or alcohol problem or any other addiction such as gambling, food, internet, shopping or sex or we have the expertise to help you.
At Reflections we are mindful that family members and friends are also impacted by the addiction.
Reflections uses a variety of therapeutic approaches to deal with addiction. Every person is different. The assessment of the individual to match their specific issues with the appropriate therapeutic tools, characterizes Reflections' approach to addiction.
We will often encourage people with an addiction to try the Twelve-step program first. This program gives you a set of guiding principles to recover from any form of addiction. This may involve attending Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Overeaters Anonymous (OA) or others. In addition to this Reflections sets up meetings with one of our therapists to give a specialised layer of support.
For some people the Twelve-step program is not the best option. Therefore alternative approaches, such as CBT, Rational Recovery or trauma work may be more appropriate. We may liaise with a number of leading treatment centres.
